The Wu-Tang Clan has been responsible for some of the best albums in Hip-Hop. With the release of Dreddy Kruger’s Wu-Tang Meets The Indie Culture, the Wu continues to create classic material through an album that combines production reminiscent of the early Wu-Tang projects with never before seen parings of some of the best independent MCs from the East and West Coast. Ever wonder what Rza and MF Doom would sound like on a track together or how about Gza and Rass Kass? These are just a couple of the pairings that really show that this is a Hip-Hop fans dream come true. Bronze Nazareth is largely responsible for the production on this album, and he brilliantly taps into the sound of the golden era of Wu and builds from that inspiration rather than merely copying it. This album brings back to life one of the trade marks of this culture: rebelliousness.

Hip-Hop was founded on creating new niches instead of following what is popular, and thankfully Dreddy’s Think Differently company is creating music that is  Taking Mcing back to a time when lyrics were intricate, thought out, and held substance. This is a straight up skills first Hip-Hop album. While this is a skip-free album, the tribute to O.D.B. stands out as a great collage of everything that made O.D.B. great. With Dreddy’s Think Differently approach, Hip-Hop fans can be assured that the Wu will continue to expand and create innovative independent Hip-Hop while providing a great model for how artists should approach music: DIFFERTELY THAN EVERONE ELSE.
