Title: Contributing Staff Writer

We are seeking Journalism/Literature/English Degree Program interns for written features and review submissions to be published both on the web and in print. One written submission per month is required and credit is provided at the time it is published in print or on the web. The intern will build their resume as a journalist or columnist in their respective field.
The intern is responsible for providing all school required paperwork for JIVE Magazine to fill out and to meet all turn-in deadlines for internship requirements and documentation to school advisors or instructors.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Under 300 word reviews of music (Electronic, Hip Hop, Ambient, Downtempo, World Music, Industrial, Dance, J-pop, Urban, Non-contemporary, Indietronica, counter cultural music)
- Detailed reviews of books, games, computer gear, Anime, film, techy topics
- Written features on Cosplay culture, "geek" culture, Anime and gaming convention coverage, including E3 Expo
- Star talent interviews
- Human interest features on electronic/"geek"/cyberspace/cultural topics
- Columns and editorials
- Special assignment written work as directed
This is an extremely creative and fun working environment. Candidates are accepted from any location, US or international. Work will be handled and submitted via email or by our intranet forum for project planning. Submissions are self-uploaded for web use. Articles for print are coordinated during layouts.

Title: Public Relations, News and Marketing Associate

We are currently looking for an intern to assist our Public Relations, News and Marketing. This includes duties involved with website marketing communications, ad client accounts and sales. This internship also includes substantial Public Relations work with featured star talent. This internship provides a real-world look into how a media publication marketing department operates on a day-to-day basis, including news management, while inheriting the skills needed to succeed in today's business world.
The intern is responsible for providing all school required paperwork for JIVE Magazine to fill out and to meet all turn-in deadlines for internship requirements and documentation to school advisors or instructors.
Duties include but are not limited to: 
- Generation of marketing literature and mailings to PR talent reps and clients
- Review and distribution of incoming promotional materials featured
- Assistance with editorial calendars and market demographic studies
- Print and banner advertisement promotion and sales
- Ad client accounts assistance
- Print copy writing, website copy, direct mail copy development
- News and release information launching
- Creative marketing solutions design and promotions composition
- Public relations project management and liaison to star talent for interview coordination
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, with strong backgrounds in journalism/public relations/marketing or advertising. Ad sales developed to closing are paid out to the intern at 10% commission. The remaining scope of this internship is UNPAID, but we will work with your educational institute to make sure you receive course credits. We also provide letters of recommendation and resume building skills for outstanding work. Candidates are accepted from any location, US or international. Title: Contributing Fashion and Art Projects Creative Associate

Availability: 2007 filled - Next Available Opening - Summer 2008
We are interested in a candidate willing to contribute his or her creativity and management abilities for our fashion and art project photo spreads. Minimum hours required are dependent on individual school guidelines and project completion requirements, plus one weekend day per shoot to be scheduled in advance. Each project completed successfully on time will pay the intern a negotiated fee at the time it is actually published in print or on the web. The intern will receive proper credit for the project coordination of the published feature and build their resume with a creative position in this field.
The intern is responsible for providing all school required paperwork for JIVE Magazine to fill out and to meet all turn-in deadlines for internship requirements and documentation to school advisors or instructors.
Duties include but are not limited to: 
- Coordinating photo fashion or artistic project shoots
- Consulting with the fashion and art industry to obtain promotional apparel or artwork for each project shoot
- Project set design production
- Model scouting and liaison to the models
- Set location scouting and scheduling of locations
- Photo editing/composition assistance as required by the fashion/art department manager
- Overall layout design consulting for print issue fashion/art projects
- Casting for extras and/or props required for the project set up
This is an extremely creative and fun working environment. Candidates must live in the Atlanta metro area and be available on location for each photo shoot one time each month which is usually held on a Saturday for minimal pedestrian/traffic interference. Most project planning can be handled by phone, via email or by our internal forum system for project planning.
